YMCA PPRESCHOOLS
Consisting of 6 preschools located within the city of Long beach, this project aims to improve the greenspaces in the more disadvantaged communities and reduce as much asphalt and concrete surfaces as possible and replacing it with natural materials and living shrubs and trees. Each Preschool has its unique set of conditions but overall, the need for shade is the most prominent desire overall. Additionally, all schools feature tricycles, tricycle tracks, painted playground games, tree stumps, logs, and generous amounts of new trees and shrubs.
These upgrades create cooler, healthier environments, encouraging exploration and well-being for children.
