River House

Formally known as Los Angeles River Lofts, this residential complex is a market-rate condominium project for 56 families with 450 feet of Los Angeles River frontage in Elysian Valley.  To take best advantage of its riverfront location the project features California native planting composing framed river views, on-structure landscape plantings, and a stormwater retention area.  A robust public participation process helped to tailor the project to the needs of its host neighborhood and lay the groundwork to receive a zone change through a City Planning Commission action.
