East Wilmington Vest Pocket Park

This project is a renovation of a well-used playground to better serve pre-school aged kids and their families with age-appropriate equipment.  In public design workshops we found a strong desire for improving the park’s security.  The improvements designed include: re-focusing the park on the needs of younger kids, a strong new fence with an automatic lock and vandal-resistant features.  We retained the valuable large canopy trees that offer soft shade and to added lots of new play equipment to increase the numbers of kids who can enjoy the park.
